First few hours in Georgia: absolutely lovely valley in Adjura and super friendly and helpful people (including whore-house staff and… the police). Did we find our place on earth?
Fortunately road signs are not only in Georgian! So funny to see on such a sign direction of Teheran. Yes, we are really far away…
But people start to surprise us from the beginning. First place we stay for night brings us plumbs, nuts and mobile number of guys from the village “in case something wrong will happen at night: call anytime”. Plus tips about roads (our map seems to be quite surrealistic). After Tom’s question about what are the speed limits here, we heard an answer: and how fast do you feel and drive safe?
Funny thing happen on the way to Tbilisi. We wanted to stop for eating, saw some parking place with cars, stopped, came in and ordered our food. A waitress took Hanna on her arms, was playing with her. Then another waitress came, was also very nice to Hanna. And then another and another. Can it be that there is so many girls working here..?
It took us some minutes to realize that we are in whore-house for Turkish truck drivers. We were eating our food (and hoping that we will not pay bordello prices!) while Hanna was carried from hands to hands. For me the top of this comicality was when the guys were paying to the bar for bananas for Hanna.
Arriving to Tbilisi – we were… stopped by the police. We turned in the place which doesn’t allow for turning. – So is it a boy or a girl? – was the first question. – Oh, what is her name? – was the second one. – And you are from Poland? – next one.
And the police stopped the crossing to escort us to place of our friend we were looking for. I think we will stay in Georgia for a while…
Our first book is out!
We have published our first book (for now just in Polish:) about our Central America Trip.

Hello Anna, Hanna and Tom,
hooray! I am happy for you that you finally made it into Georgia.
I have read all your articles with great interest and was meaning to write you a comment for ages…What can I say? i think this is the most inspiring blog I ever read! There is nothing better to cheer me up after a long day in the office than to follow your stories :-)
Seriously, I am really proud of you both for having the courage to go on this big adventure with your little girl. You are giving her such a wonderful start: encountering new people, animals, languages and landscapes every day – brilliant! And even if you have to go through some difficult situations (Russian police etc…) I am sure you’ll never regret this decision.
Enjoy your time, keep writing and think about your fan club in London (So far: Me and my boyfriend + Sarah and family)
x Bianca
PS: Tom your photos are stunning!
