Safe in Ankara

The Castle in Ankara (Turkey)

After driving, driving, driving through empty eastern Turkey, we finally arrived to Ankara. We decided to take it easy: walking, eating and shopping. Completely different from last months.

And so we did. Having lazy evenings and calm days, sleeping in big bed of our good friend. Thanks to her boyfriend: visiting the hospital and checking how is the new baby doing. Visiting colorful shops, buying cheap Turkish shoes and eating (yeah, I again feel that I’m pregnant). There was even a moment when I fainted while smelling cheeseburger in McDonalds!!

Long time we spend in the car workshop (don’t ask which one on our way was it!), they even managed to loose our key car.

From interesting observations: we seriously had a problem, in the center of Ankara to communicate in English! In the center of the capital of the country, asking about a castle (not a difficult word, and castle is one of not many sights in Ankara) and bus (another easy word) which could bring us there. Crazy!

From Hanna’s updates: in the shoe shop on Tunali Hilmi Cad she made her first step without help. First. Then, in our friend’s flat, she made two more. I feel that soon soon this big moment of real walking will happen.

Our first book is out!

We have published our first book (for now just in Polish:) about our Central America Trip.
