Roads of Honduras

Honduras: This guys helped us allot on the road.

Honduras: This guys helped us allot on the road.

While being on the road trip, you discover the road from million of sides. It’s your way, your aim, the bedroom, the shopping mall, the place of meeting people.

Usually we don’t really have a plan. The way is the aim itself, however cliche this sounds. With just a bit limited flexibility (because of girls: their hunger or tiredness), we are going when the wind is blowing. Sea looks nice? Let’s sleep at the sea. Here there is a place for a fire? Good reason to stop.

Other reasons are of course the shopping. In the bigger cities this goes smoothly: loads of food for next week in supermarket, Power Chicken, Super Chicken, Extra Chicken fast food on every corner. I start to miss some mama’s soup or other not-rice-beans-chicken-fries-meal. But not badly yet.

Even less complicated it is outside of cities, on most of our roads. At the lake: fresh fish, everywhere else: fruits. But how many fruits a day can you eat? I wanna chocolate, or bread (not sweet!), or Pringles!! No, no, joking, eating is really not the most important.

More important are the meetings. Paradoxically the flat tire can bring only good: people and meetings. Like here on the pictures, a lovely family from Vertedero De Ocotepeque stopped to help us, played with girls and, as usual, we ended up on their Guevara Pena.

Or checking what is up around the road! Tons of coffee beans being dried on the football fields or in front of houses. Or sugar grass here and there. Or plants and animals, which don’t have Polish names. Ah road.

Our first book is out!

We have published our first book (for now just in Polish:) about our Central America Trip.
