Our NYE party power

New Years Eve Summit 2015-2015, Men's drems come true, Berlin (Germany)

Because there is nothing I believe more in than the people – I try to have them around as intensively as possible. So our New Year’s Eve party lasted his for 7 days and hosted around 100 people. There was a political movie from Cameroon in our home-made cinema, 2 wheel-chair dancers and hell a lot of inspiration.

This is our little tradition: twice a year, we are organising in our Berlin flat so-called „Summits“. Not just a party. One night is not enough, especially when our guests-friends are coming sometimes even from Argentina and are simply too cool to spend just a short night together!

Hanna and Mila were in Warsaw with my mum, and the bell to our flat was ringing on very different hours during this week. There was time for dancing, singing, drinking and talking (of course), but also for serious discussions, pole-dance trainings, board games, walks through Berlin, cooking together or making music in a big group. I have a feeling that those parties, when we are not on the road, are my most important batteries-loading-activity each year.

Most of the guests are my or our flat-mate’s good friends. Some are good friends of good friends, but some random guys also appear. Or the blog readers ;) It’s a sweet, intense exchange of political, cultural and bullshit too talks. All you need to start a good year.

This year, between the others, we had 5 cinematographers, tons of Latin America students, an important European boss of important NGO, journalists, doctors and travellers. But I will not tell you who was kissing whom ;)

I’m a bit like Nokia, I like to connect and put people together. In last 10 years in happened a lot: that some people met by me (often in our flat) and then I saw some beautiful result of that meetings (let it be love, travel pictures together or a big, important project).

Or that moment, when I see a black African refugee, carrying a disable guy down the stairs of our building. And for each of them it was a strong experience. Hey diversity! Happy New Year!

Our first book is out!

We have published our first book (for now just in Polish:) about our Central America Trip.

You`ve reminded me my uni-time, nice :) But I was thinking that this kind of parties are only for students… then you ought to attend to more official meetings, especially when you are a parent… it`s not true, as I see! Thank you for sharing this with us, now I know that being responsible adult isn`t equal to being boring person who forgot about joy of life and always says “I should…”.

Thanks for this post! I will save it in one of these holes in my head labeled ‘Things to Remember when I Need to Find Courage to Change Myself in Order to Make the Life I’m Dreaming of’. Thumbs up for me I soon will open it – finally?

Love! That’s why I share apartment with 5 people from Poland, UK, USA, China and Taiwan. And when my roomies invite their friends and friends of friends for a dinner, jam session, movie night or brunch… it’s fun!

Fantastic! That’s what I like. I spend days surrounded by people from more than 40 countries so cultural exchange is a big part of my daily life and I wouldn’t trade it for anything :)
