Empty Ukrainian ski tracks

Skiing resort which wants to host Winter Olympics in 2018? Sure we are going there! Village Bukovel, no to be found on any of our maps, can be a nice place, but difficult to become a heaven for skiing lovers with highest mountain only 1245m.

We also had very funny timing to visit this place: just after winter season is over, before summer tourists visits. Empty spaces, ski-lifts with grass background. Reminds me a bit movie “Langoniers” based on Stephan King’s book: about being in strange time, which all the other people just left, leaving only things and smells. Like plastic bottles in Ukrainian mountains.

Instead of looking for a room at some babushka house in the village – we decided to ask in main hotel resort about no-season prices. Was worth, the cheapest stay until now!
