Is travelling a lifestyle? Or just a hobby? – How the hell do you combine a normal life with so much travelling? – people ask us. Well, there is nothing to combine.

How to describe it in the easiest way? That our kids sleep on the ground every night? That we don’t take out of the car wooden boards and air mattresses? That there is always plastic bowl in the trunk, in case there is some baby to be washed near the river or lake? That there are books in the car and small folding table for girls to eat or draw (from Przydajesie.pl, thanks btw!!).

And that’s how it ends up: Friday afternoon after the kindergarten, we fastly pack the stuff (yes, practise makes perfect), and going somewhere. To friends, parents, people who invited us (those meetings are the coolest), or just somewhere. Funny to look for a lonesome place on Polish Mazury, like we did somewhere in Guatemala. Funny to ask people about nice lake to swim in, like somewhere in Georgia.

Yes, we don’t have to be on a big trip to be alive. Such a style.

And you know how many Polish travellers have blogs?! The blogosphere is growing like crazy during last two years. Growing, getting stronger and getting more together.

Some days ago another big Polish competition was announced, about the Blog of the Year (organised by one of the biggest portals). And even if we wouldn’t plan to take part in it (not only because blogs should be written in Polish), we would like to solidarize with other bloggers, who don’t agree with taking out of the competition category “travel blogs”. So here we go:

I really enjoy your blog! Glad to see that having children doesn’t mean to stop traveling ;-) Will keep coming back for sure to follow your adventures as a Polish-German team…I am German myself, my boyfriend is Polish and we live in Brussels, so your story sounds very familiar!

    Great Article!

Children should never be a burden (although they can be difficult at times). If you are a close family with shared interests, then travel is not only possible, but more fun and rewarding. Our children go with us as we travel the world too. I could not imagine doing it without them. I love sharing the experiences, learning together, and building family memories.
